1. Introduction
The Culture Intelligence for Workable Chrome Extension (“Extension”) is developed by Culture Intelligence (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.
The Extension is a recruiting productivity tool that adds outreach shortcuts to the Workable applicant tracking system. It does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
2. Information the Extension Accesses
The Extension reads the following information directly from the web pages you visit — solely to pre-fill outreach messages on your behalf:
- Candidate name: Read from the Workable candidate profile page to personalize message templates.
- Phone number: Read from the Workable candidate profile page to construct a WhatsApp deep link (wa.me URL). The number is never transmitted to any server.
- LinkedIn profile URL: Read from the Workable candidate profile page so the Extension can open the candidate's LinkedIn profile in a background browser tab to automate a connection request.
No data is transmitted to any external server. All processing happens locally in your browser. The Extension does not have a backend and makes no network requests of its own.
3. Browser Tabs Permission
The Extension requests the tabs permission to open a LinkedIn profile page in a background browser tab (not focused or visible to you) in order to automate the LinkedIn connection request flow. Specifically, it:
- Opens the candidate's LinkedIn profile URL in a hidden tab
- Clicks the Connect button, fills in a connection note you have reviewed, and submits the invitation
- Closes the tab automatically when the action is complete
The Extension only creates tabs for LinkedIn profile URLs explicitly triggered by you clicking the LinkedIn button on a Workable candidate page. It does not read, monitor, or interact with any other tabs.
4. Cookies and Tracking
The Extension does not use cookies, local storage, analytics, or any tracking technology. No usage data, behavioral data, or telemetry is collected.
5. Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, rent, or transmit any data through this Extension. Because no data leaves your browser, there is nothing to share.
6. Third-Party Services
When you use the WhatsApp or LinkedIn features, your browser opens a URL on those third-party platforms (WhatsApp Web or LinkedIn). Your interactions with those platforms are governed by their respective privacy policies. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or policies of WhatsApp or LinkedIn.
7. Data Security
Because the Extension processes all data locally within your browser and transmits nothing externally, the security of your data depends on the security of your browser and your device. We recommend keeping your browser and operating system up to date.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date above when changes are made. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
